The RGPWA Coordination Unit attended the 27th Australian and New Zealand Prevocational Medical Education Forum (ANZPMEF 2023) in Perth in November. The theme for this year's conference was 'Looking Forward: Careers, Innovation and Education'. Innovation was all around with discussions on the use of artificial intelligence as well as communication essentials and simulation.

Priya Krishna, RGPWA Medical Education Officer, presented on a career support tool the team developed and implemented for trainees on the RGPWA and discussions were held with other rural generalist streams from all over Australia and New Zealand.

RGPWA offered two scholarships for junior doctors working in a rural or remote region in Australia or New Zealand to attend the forum in Perth. One of the scholarship recipients, Dr Emily Ford from Albany Health Campus, presented her abstract on an intern-to-intern educational program.

ANZPMEF 2024 will be held in Darwin. We hope to see you there!
