Transition of the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program to the general practice colleges was announced by the Federal Minister for Health, the Honourable Greg Hunt, in 2017. The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) are working with the Australian Government, states and territories as part of the transition.
