Dr Ekeuda Uchenna 'Ben' Nwankwo | Director of Clinical Training
Dr Ekeuda Uchenna (Ben) Nwankwo is a dual fellowship holder with both the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). His advanced skills include Emergency Medicine, Public Health and Child Health. Ben is certified in clinical teaching and supervision for Australasian College of Emergency Medicine Associateship trainees, is a mentor and supervisor of training for ACRRM and RACGP and participates in ALS2 instruction for ACRRM. He is a strong advocate for rural generalist training and is devoted to supporting rural generalist trainees. Ben has an interest in research, quality, training, and clinical leadership as an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators. In his spare time, Ben loves singing in choirs and playing golf.
Joanne Potts | Medical Education Officer
Jo Potts lives in the Shire of Cuballing (near Narrogin) on her husband’s family farm bordering the beautiful Dryandra Woodlands and has been passionately involved with the rural medical student program since 2016. She is also employed as the Medical Education Officer for the WA Country Health Service in Narrogin and as the Wheatbelt Project Officer for the WA Regional Training Hubs, supporting doctors in training in the region. When Jo isn’t working, she enjoys running, cooking, travelling and spending time at home on the farm with friends, family and her beloved Kelpie, Jess.
