RGPWA Medical Leadership for Senior Clinicians Program
We are currently offering our inaugural RGPWA Medical Leadership for Senior Clinicians Program which is facilitated by Ian Crosby, Consultant – Organisational and individual development via Microsoft Teams. This program introduces leadership concepts and approaches and has been customised for senior rural generalists.
The focus of this course is
- on developing and strengthening the skills needed to supervise, motivate, lead change and
- to provide effective leadership within a rural healthcare team.
For this course, we received 52 applications from experienced rural generalists across the state, for only 12 places and all applicants were ranked by the panel and selected based on a range of criteria, including rural generalist experience, commitment to country WA, alignment of the applicant's course expectations with the program objectives and whether they are currently in a senior leadership role.
The course is offered over six weeks with one 90-minute session every week and is running successfully, with great feedback form the attendees.
"This session was very well presented, especially such a highly conceptual topic. Ian was very smooth and kept us all engaged." said an attendee about one of the six sessions they attended.
